Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer II to join our team at Murata Machinery. This role will involve executing field service activities on multiple products, demonstrating and performing Level II skills from the Field Service Engineer (FSE) Skills Matrix, and professionally interacting with external and internal customers/departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Follow all corporate safety protocols and report unsafe conditions
  • Perform routine installations and/or maintenance on assigned products
  • Install software with minimum supervision, using the provided installation procedures and release notes
  • Effectively troubleshoot issues for both hardware and software
  • Obtain Factory Training and achieve Certification on multiple products
  • Apply company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues
  • Professionally interact with, and present technical information to, internal team
  • Recommend technical solutions/resolutions to assigned team
  • Serve as a company liaison between customer and company engineering for daily site operations
Requirements
  • Associates' degree in related field or other engineering discipline preferred
  • Technical School or Military Certification is acceptable
  • Minimum of 2 years of technical field service experience in the semiconductor industry or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from direct manager, customers, and the general public
