Position Overview: RN PCU Per Diem Nights
As a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit, you will deliver expert nursing care tailored to the needs of patients within your assigned unit. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create comprehensive care plans. Your role will involve providing individualized, age-appropriate bedside care, utilizing the nursing process to address patient requirements.
You will take on supervisory responsibilities, assessing, planning, and directing the activities of other healthcare staff to ensure high-quality patient care. Continuous evaluation of nursing practices will be essential to meet patient goals effectively. Participation in hourly rounding and adherence to safety protocols will be integral to your role.
Essential Skills: Strong interpersonal abilities and teamwork are crucial. You must thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage occasional high-pressure situations. Excellent customer service skills and basic computer proficiency are required. Experience in CVICU or ICU is highly preferred, with a minimum of two years in Cardiac Stepdown being ideal.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited institution.
Preferred Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Minimum Experience: For Level II EQ Only: At least two years of current Level III NICU experience, including neonatal ventilator management.
Preferred Experience: One year of acute care experience is preferred, but new graduates will be considered. Certification in a specialty area is advantageous.
Licensure/Certifications: Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Arizona, along with CPR and ACLS certifications as applicable.
Additional Training: Specific certifications may be required based on departmental needs.
