Job Summary

Massachusetts Institute of Technology seeks a seasoned financial leader to serve as Chief Financial Officer for Open Learning. The successful candidate will provide financial leadership, decision support, and strategic direction for the organization. Key responsibilities include developing a financial and operational strategy, associated metrics, and ongoing development and monitoring of control systems and reporting of accurate financial results. The CFO will also be a key member of Open Learning's leadership team, developing and implementing financial aspects of strategic business plans that align with the short-term and long-term goals of the organization. Additionally, the CFO will lead the development of annual and multi-year budgets for Open Learning's units, monitor all financial aspects of the organization, and provide financial leadership across various units.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree and a minimum of ten years of financial management experience. Strong organizational, leadership, collaboration, and communication skills are essential. A master's degree and higher education experience are preferred.

Compensation
The salary range is $175,000 - $225,000, with the final salary determined by MIT's compensation team based on the skills and experience of the person hired. This is a hybrid position, with 3 days a week required onsite in Cambridge, MA, based on the needs of the team, MIT, and the Vice Provost Open Learning.
