- Under moderate supervision from nursing and medical personnel, perform all duties associated with a Patient Care Technician, including assisting patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
- Monitor patients' progress and prepare reports for Registered Nurses or other medical staff.
- Accurately obtain and document patients' vital signs and collect specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Facilitate basic patient transport and maintain cleanliness in the patient care area.
- This role also involves measuring and recording patients' intake and output, assisting with mobility exercises, and performing blood draws.
Essential Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Ability to perform competently in at least two general practice areas (cross-trained and competent to cover multiple hospital services, roles, or functions).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited CNA, PCT, or paramedic program, or currently enrolled in a nursing program.
- A minimum of two years of experience in acute or long-term care settings is preferred.
- Demonstrated skill in phlebotomy is preferred.
