Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and Treat Dental Conditions: Conduct thorough examinations, diagnose dental conditions, and provide appropriate treatment plans for patients.
- Provide Patient Education: Educate patients and parents of patients on proper oral health care, including diet choices and hygiene practices.
- Communicate with Dental Staff: Collaborate with dental assistants, hygienists, and other staff members to ensure effective patient care and treatment plans.
- Prescribe Medications and Administer Anesthetics: Prescribe medications as necessary and administer anesthetics to patients for pain management.
- Document Patient Records: Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient diagnoses, treatments, and consultations.
- Education: Doctorate in Dental Science (DDS or DMD) from an accredited university.
- Licenses and Certifications: Current licensure to practice dentistry in the state and certification in CPR.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in using dental equipment and technology.
