We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Recreation Instructor to join our team at the Town of Chapel Hill, North Carolina. As a Recreation Instructor, you will be responsible for leading and facilitating recreation programs for youth, adults, and seniors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement recreation programs that promote physical activity, socialization, and community engagement
- Lead and facilitate recreation programs, including sports, games, and arts and crafts
- Work with community partners to develop and implement programs that meet the needs of diverse populations
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive experience for program participants
- Collaborate with other recreation staff to plan and implement special events and programs
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Leisure Studies, or a related field
- Experience working with youth, adults, and seniors in recreation settings
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends
