Cellar Technician Job Description

Bolt Staffing is seeking a skilled Cellar Technician to join our team at a reputable winery in Sonoma, California. As a Cellar Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the cellar, including production line and cellar sanitization, receiving bulk wine trucks, and assisting with other cellar activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow safe cellar practices and procedures.
  • Perform production line and cellar sanitization.
  • Receive bulk wine trucks.
  • Assist with tank changes to align with production schedules.
  • Run initial lab analysis to check specifications.
  • Adjust wine specifications to make them bottle-ready.
  • Maintain good communication within the cellar team and cross-functionally with other departments.
  • Work overtime as needed, including Saturdays.
  • Follow verbal and written instructions and use mathematical skills daily.
  • Demonstrate reliability, teamwork, and good attendance.

Requirements:

  • Excellent English skills; ability to read/write Spanish is a plus.
  • Valid CA driver's license; must be 21 years or older.
  • Computer experience is a plus.
  • HACCP or ISO training is a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of previous winery experience.
  • Knowledge of winery equipment and winery SOPs.
