About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Owner II to join our Risk Proposal and Issuance team. As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for defining and prioritizing product backlogs, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring alignment with customer needs and organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and achieve product-level KPIs
  • Manage products with high degrees of strategy, scope, and complexity
  • Own and maintain the product backlog and prioritize its contents
  • Participate in squad/team demos, retrospectives, and other ceremonies
  • Balance tactical and strategic decisions for the product
  • Lead and/or attend sessions with users, customers, SMEs, to gain a thorough understanding of the product
  • Partner with User Experience to ensure products delivered strike the right balance between intuitive, simple, cohesive, and complete
  • Monitor and maintain product health
  • Design additional monitoring to support enhanced understanding of product health
  • Analyze and report on feasibility, cost of delay ramifications, economies, or other aspects of planned or potential changes to the product
  • Drive alignment with stakeholders to understand the impact that their products' regulatory, compliance, and other industry constraints will have on other products in the portfolio
  • Negotiate with internal and external squads/teams to set aligned priorities among squads/teams both within and outside the portfolio
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and IT project management
  • Experience working with agile teams and 7 years in business, technology, or consulting
  • Able to depict and explain complex ideas, issues, and designs to varied audiences
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to influence diverse stakeholders
  • Experience in the insurance industry preferred
  • Knowledge of relevant products and portfolio preferred
  • Strong experimental mindset to drive innovation amongst uncertainty
