Banquets Cook Job Overview

The Banquets Cook plays a vital role in our culinary team, working closely with the Sous Chef to uphold the standards set by the Executive Chef. This position is essential for the preparation and presentation of food in our banquet services, ensuring that every dish meets our high expectations for quality and aesthetics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare a variety of ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, slicing, and peeling fruits and vegetables.
  • Utilize diverse cooking techniques such as baking, broiling, frying, steaming, braising, and boiling to create meals that are not only delicious but also visually appealing.
  • Deliver fresh, high-quality meals to guests by adhering to standardized recipes and preparation methods.
  • Minimize waste by following established production guidelines and portion control.
  • Store and label prepared and open food in compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Ensure proper food storage and maintain appropriate serving temperatures.
  • Keep a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment through diligent cleaning practices.
  • Assist in the setup, service, and cleanup of food production for events.
  • Rotate stock effectively to ensure timely usage and minimize spoilage.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the culinary leadership.
Qualifications:
  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
  • Possess a valid Food Safety Certification.
  • At least six months of culinary experience or equivalent education.
