Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare medications under the direction of a pharmacist
  • Measure, mix, count, label, and record amounts and dosages of medications according to prescription orders
  • Manage the drug distribution system and provide technical support in all aspects of the delivery of safe, effective, patient-focused, and cost-efficient drug therapy
Requirements
  • Virginia Pharmacy Technician license
  • CPhT license through PTCB or NHA (required if licensed in VA after 7/1/2021)
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1 year Pharmacy Technician experience
  • Prior hospital experience
