Pharmacist - Medication Therapy Management Specialist

A-Line Staffing Solutions is seeking a skilled MTM Pharmacist to join our team in Norfolk, VA. As a MTM Pharmacist, you will work with a Fortune 500 company, providing career growth opportunities and a chance to make a meaningful impact in patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispensing Medications: Review and interpret prescription orders, prepare and dispense medications accurately and efficiently, verify prescription information for completeness and accuracy, and provide counseling to patients on medication use, potential side effects, and precautions.
- Patient Care: Conduct medication therapy management and patient education, collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication regimens, monitor patient profiles for drug interactions and contraindications, and answer patient inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations, participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives, oversee proper storage and handling of medications, and manage pharmacy inventory and order medications as needed.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with pharmacy technicians to manage workflow, collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care, participate in staff meetings and training programs, and contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
Requirements:
- Active Pharmacy License in the state in which you are employed
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm. D. degree
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical care and medication therapy management
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous experience as a licensed pharmacist preferred
