Mental Health Specialist for Veterans Assessments
4 weeks ago
About the Role:
We are seeking a Licensed Psychologist to perform Disability Assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process. As a key member of our team, you will review behavioral health records electronically through a secure Web Portal and conduct comprehensive assessments in person on each Veteran.
About the Work:
In this role, you will complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) through the Web Portal. The Licensed Psychologist does not make disability determinations. Instead, Veterans Administration makes all disability determinations, in part using the findings recorded in the DBQs. This role only performs Disability Assessments on Veterans, with an average of 4 assessments per day.
About the Requirements:
To be successful in this position, you must hold an active and unrestricted Psychology license. You should also meet the credentialing requirements set forth by the VA. Additionally, you will have graduated from an APA-accredited program/school.
About the Schedule and Benefits:
This is a flexible, independent contractor opportunity with a schedule of 2 days per week. Health insurance options are available to support your well-being. Our company, MRG Exams, has been providing Independent Medical Exams for Worker's Compensation, Disability, and the Veterans Administration since 1998. We are committed to serving our community and making a positive impact.
