Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and physically fit individual to join our team as a Maintenance Worker Porter at Foot Soldiers LLC. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep of our residential properties, including routine and comprehensive maintenance tasks, curb appeal maintenance, and emergency response.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and comprehensive maintenance of assigned properties, including but not limited to, sweeping, removing trash and recycling, and shoveling snow.
  • Maintain curb appeal by ensuring properties are clean and well-maintained.
  • Respond to emergency calls for maintenance assistance and report any maintenance concerns for repairs to the Dispatcher.
  • Coordinate resources and implement the setup of maintenance-related jobs.
  • Assume other special activities and responsibilities as directed.
Requirements
  • At least 18 years of age and eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must have a reliable smartphone with the following specs: 2.3 gHz processor, LTE or 4G compatible, minimum 5mp front-facing camera, 4GB RAM, Quad Core processor minimum, 32GB minimum internal memory, and battery life of at least 20 hours talk time.
  • Must be able to ride a bicycle with demonstrated comfort.
  • Must have graduated from high school or achieved its equivalency.
  • Must be able to perform physical activities, such as lifting heavy items (up to 50 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing, or walking.
  • Must be able to work various shifts on weekdays, weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • Able to work outdoors in all cold, wet, and warm weather conditions.
  • Mandatory to work during snow season as a shoveler.

  • Must be able to understand, carry out, and professionally respond to oral and written communication.
  • Demonstrate organization, attention to detail, and possess strong positive oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to perform tasks described above without seeking outside contractor assistance.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills for communicating with residents, co-workers, and senior management.
  • Demonstrate ability to contribute to and foster a team approach to serving residents and maintaining a successful community.
  • Attendance is an imperative job function.
