The Educational Leader will be an accomplished classroom educator who dedicates a significant portion of their time to delivering exceptional teaching and learning experiences. The Educational Leader is expected to possess extensive knowledge and proficiency in effective teaching practices that enhance student achievement, engagement, and overall wellbeing.
The primary aim of this position is to foster excellence in educational practices throughout the Teaching Service.
Key Responsibilities
Acknowledging the critical role of exemplary teaching in enhancing student learning outcomes, the key responsibilities of the Educational Leader may include, but are not limited to:
- Exhibiting advanced expertise in pedagogical practices
- Demonstrating outstanding classroom techniques through teaching demonstrations
- Collaborating with school leadership to establish a unified vision of effective teaching
- Leading the execution of comprehensive school improvement initiatives related to curriculum design and implementation
- Contributing significantly to professional development efforts, including establishing observation and feedback protocols for teacher collaboration
- Showcasing effective teaching methodologies and assisting educators in seeking, analyzing, and acting on feedback
- Offering data-driven feedback to teaching staff to guide their professional growth
- Providing expert insights on the processes and strategies that will shape both individual and institutional professional learning
- Mentoring and training student teachers and coaching fellow educators
- Exemplifying the use of student performance data to inform instructional strategies
- Promoting school-wide professional learning frameworks through collaborative learning communities
- Modeling exemplary practices in professional learning, including soliciting feedback from colleagues for reflective improvement
