Job OverviewWaggoner Engineering, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team in Hernando, MS. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to project managers and clients.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, with experience in hydraulic analysis, flood hazard mapping, and stormwater management. You will be responsible for conducting engineering analyses and evaluations, performing design of stormwater management facilities, and maintaining communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform engineering analyses and evaluations to support project planning and design
  • Design stormwater management facilities for roadway drainage, site drainage, and retention/detention projects
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations of stormwater management conditions and develop recommended remedial measures
  • Maintain and document written and verbal communications with clients throughout the project lifecycle
  • Conduct project status reviews with project managers and team members to ensure accuracy and timeliness of project completion
  • Assist project managers with administrative duties, including review of schedules, scopes, and budgets
  • Prepare project designs using sound engineering principles and engineering software
  • Assist in preparation of contract documents and technical specifications

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain one within a reasonable timeframe
  • 3 to 5 years of wastewater design experience; transportation experience is a plus
