Job Overview:

As an Assistant Community Association Manager at FirstService Residential, you will play a vital role in the management of residential communities. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the administration of properties, developing knowledge and skills in lease administration, income/expense management, physical facilities management, and tenant relations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develops and maintains current knowledge of state regulatory agency statutes and community documents, policies, and procedures.
  • Assists with field activities associated with properties or groups of properties.
  • Oversees tracking and response to tenant service requests.
  • Maintains tenant relations program and communicates regularly with tenants.
  • Performs quarterly property inspections.
  • Coordinates insurance requirements for properties and vendors.
  • Responsible for preparing and distributing tenant manuals, emergency procedures, and other formalized communication.
  • Prepares check runs, capital trackers, and funds for approval by the Community Association Manager.
  • Assists in preparing monthly reports.
  • Assists in developing operating and capital budgets.
  • Assumes additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the Community Association Manager.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Two years of experience as an on-site manager or similar role preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
  • Certified and licensed by the State of Florida for Community Association Management (CAM) preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, leases, regulations, or documents.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Standing, sitting, walking, and occasional climbing.
  • Required to work at a personal computer for extended periods.
  • Talking on the phone for extended periods.
  • Ability to detect auditory and/or visual emergency alarms.
  • On-call 24/7.
  • Ability to work extended/flexible hours and weekends based on project requirements.
  • Driving when necessary.
  • Ability to respond to emergencies in a timely manner.
