Job Summary:

The United Surgical Partners Pre-Operative Registered Nurse provides high-quality patient care using the nursing process and medical plan of care. This role requires a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and the ability to manage the surgical patient.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Pre-Op/PACU and a strong understanding of aseptic technique. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide safe and effective patient care in the perioperative services
  • Support the mission, vision, and values of United Surgical Partners
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients
  • Monitor and report any changes in patient condition to the healthcare team
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current Virginia Nursing License
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Pre-Op/PACU
  • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
  • Ability to care for patients from infancy to geriatrics
