Job Title: Child Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Child Therapist to join our team at Children's Hope Alliance. As a key member of our Child Focused Assertive Community Treatment Team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality mental health services to children and families in their homes, kinship placements, foster homes, or other community-based settings.

Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver innovative and evidence-based treatments to children with severe emotional disturbances. As a Child Therapist, you will work collaboratively with other professionals to provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions, as well as comprehensive clinical assessments, treatment plans, and crisis interventions.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions to children and families using evidence-based models and clinical modalities.
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, treatment plans, and crisis interventions.
  • Participate in daily/weekly client staffings, team meetings, and trainings to ensure high-quality care and coordination of services.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to develop and implement treatment plans that address the unique needs of each child and family.
  • Provide support and training to clients and staff on behavioral strategies and interventions.
  • Coordinate care for clients and families as needed, including referrals to community resources and services.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a human service or related field.
  • Valid NC licensure (LCSW, LMFT, LCMHC, or LCAS).
  • At least one year of experience working with children and families in a mental health setting.
  • Effective communication, decision-making, analytical, interpersonal, leadership, and professionalism skills.
  • Basic computer and math skills.
  • Valid North Carolina driver's license.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands of this position include sitting, standing, walking, and occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, as well as the ability to adjust focus.
