Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at Northeast Regional Medical Center. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of patients by performing various laboratory tests and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Perform Laboratory Tests and Procedures: Conduct a variety of laboratory tests and procedures, including blood bank and microbiology, to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
  • Analyze Test Results: Analyze test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits to ensure that patients receive the best possible care.
  • Prepare Samples for Testing: Prepare patient samples for testing by following standardized procedures and protocols.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work closely with healthcare professionals, including physicians and nurses, to ensure that patients receive comprehensive care.
  • Maintain Laboratory Equipment: Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure that it is functioning properly and efficiently.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related field.
  • Certification: Certified Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) certification.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a medical laboratory setting.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Work Schedule

This is a travel position with a 13-week assignment. The work schedule is nights, 9p-6:30a, Sunday-Thursday. A 9hr shift is typical, but may be 10hr if 40hr is preferred.
