Job Summary

A.T. Still University's Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSU-KCOM) is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care, assist physicians in all modes of practice, and contribute to the educational component of our Family Medicine Residency program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians in patient care, including vital signs, lab tests, and medication administration.
  • Provide patient education and inform patients of test results, appointment plans, and referrals.
  • Review charts, triage calls, and document nurse care assessments.
  • Assist with examinations, minor surgeries, and procedures, and maintain a clean and organized laboratory area.
  • Train and work with Residents on nursing responsibilities and duties.
Requirements
  • LPN license and CRP certification.
  • 3-6 months of experience in outpatient clinic settings, preferably with a large physician group.
  • Experience in obstetrics, pediatrics, family medicine, and surgical assist.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with venipuncture, EKG, spirometry, injections, and sterile technique.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as a team member and handle sudden schedule and procedure changes.
