Physiology Research Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to join our team at the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSU-KCOM). The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various laboratory tasks, including preparation of solutions and stocks, bacterial transformation, site-directed mutagenesis, DNA and RNA purification, and injection of RNA into oocytes.
Key Responsibilities- Perform laboratory work, including experimentation, data analysis, and molecular modeling.
- Manage laboratory operations, including maintenance, ordering and stocking supplies, and cataloging samples.
- Assist in the oversight of students and provide guidance on laboratory procedures.
- Conduct animal surgeries and execute experiments as needed.
- College-level knowledge of biochemistry, biology, or chemistry.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
