About Stack AV

At Stack AV, we are dedicated to advancing AI technology across diverse technical domains, transforming how AI is applied in the physical realm. Our solutions are designed to navigate and understand the world with unprecedented safety, reliability, and efficiency, revolutionizing modern industries.

Internship Program

We are seeking highly motivated and talented interns to join our team and contribute to our mission of transforming transportation through AI. As an early-stage startup, we expect our interns to be an integral part of the team, working on research projects that directly impact our product.

Research Areas

The project work will be scoped specifically based on your skill set and the research needs of the team. Some potential project areas include:

  • Optimized Traffic/Actor Generation - Work with adjacent systems and safety teams to understand the operating environment for an AV and develop scenarios with generated actors to fully cover the possible AV-actor interactions.
  • Sensor Simulation - Novel View Generation - Develop methods to work with sensor data from logs to generate novel views that can be used to output altered sensor data from nearby but previously untraveled vehicle positions.
  • Sensor Simulation - Sensors From Scene Data - Develop methods to utilize intermediate system outputs such as mapping information, lane lines, actor information, and obstacle information to generate corresponding synthetic sensor data such as camera imagery and LIDAR points.
Requirements

To be considered for this team, we strongly encourage students to have the following skills and experiences:

  • Proficiency in Python and C++ programming languages.
  • Experience with simulation tooling execution and development.
  • Background in machine learning and reinforcement learning.
  • Experience with sensor generation and transformation (camera, LIDAR).
  • Cross-functional communication skills.
  • Software engineering best practices.
  • Test-driven development experience.
About the Team

The Autonomy Evaluation Team is a group of specialized engineers dedicated to developing simulation tools and metrics pipelines. Our team is passionate about advancing AI technology and transforming transportation.

Equal Opportunity Employer
