Position Summary:

The Quality Control Analyst is responsible for performing routine analytical testing in compliance with cGMP and cGLP standards. This role supports the release of raw materials, stability, and finished products, ensuring adherence to quality standards. The analyst will assist in maintaining laboratory inventory and cleanliness while managing sample submissions and tracking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine analytical testing following established Standard Operating Procedures and approved methods.
  • Analyze pharmaceutical raw materials and finished products, including pH, color, clarity, FTIR, UV-VIS, HPLC, and other relevant tests.
  • Document and interpret test results accurately, utilizing a laboratory management system (LIMS).
  • Generate detailed analytical reports with a focus on procedural integrity.
  • Identify and report non-conforming results to Quality Control Management.
  • Utilize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for workflow management.
  • Participate in laboratory investigations and assist in maintaining compliance with cGMP practices.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve departmental goals.
  • Provide training and support to new team members under the guidance of Quality Control Management.
  • Promote a safe and organized laboratory environment by adhering to established safety protocols.
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
  • Ensure proper disposal of laboratory waste and maintain cleanliness.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
  • OR a Bachelor's degree in a scientific field with at least one year of relevant experience.
  • OR an Associate's degree in a scientific field with two years of relevant experience.
  • OR a high school diploma with four years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in analytical techniques, with prior HPLC experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word.
  • Knowledge of cGMP regulations and United States Pharmacopeia (USP) standards is advantageous.

  • Independent capability to conduct routine chemical and physical analyses.
  • Effective communication skills for interaction with management and colleagues.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Basic laboratory skills, including pipetting and sample preparation.
