About the Role

Hall of Fame Village is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Event Coordinator Intern to join our team. As an Event Coordinator Intern, you will play a key role in supporting the planning and execution of events at our 100-acre multi-use sports, entertainment and media destination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and coordination of events, including updating event dashboards, creating event schedules, and communicating with vendors and stakeholders.
  • Support the Events team in the creation and management of Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and other event-related documents.
  • Collaborate with the Events team to identify and pursue new event opportunities and partnerships.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to event attendees, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Assist in the coordination of event logistics, including venue setup, catering, and audiovisual equipment.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of event marketing strategies to promote events and drive attendance.
  • Contribute to the creation of event budgets, proposals, and other related documents.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions, inside and outside.
  • Ability to move safely over uneven terrain, steps, or in construction zones.
  • Ability to see and respond to hazardous situations.
  • Must be able to hear, see, and speak.
  • Ability to sit, stand, squat, and walk for periods of time as required for the position.
  • Must be available to work in Canton, Ohio.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in events, operations, or hospitality.
  • Positive and friendly attitude and persona, as this position works closely with the public.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule (nights, weekends & holidays as necessary).
  • Strong team skills and the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced environment.
