Orthopedic One is seeking a highly skilled Athletic Trainer to provide athletic training services in an outpatient ambulatory rehabilitation practice and outreach. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in athletic training, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care:
    • Assist physical therapists with exercise programs and patient treatments, and perform rehabilitative modalities under physical therapist supervision.
    • Develop strength training and/or conditioning programs for athletes/patients, and instruct and counsel patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens and health maintenance.
    • Deliver patient care in a manner consistent with NATABOC and State of Ohio AT and PT Board Practice acts while under the supervision of a physical therapist.
  • Clinical Support:
    • Take inventory of supplies and stock supplies, equipment, and linens, and alert the PT Director to purchasing and equipment repair needs.
    • Maintain a clean and safe clinical environment.
    • Coordinate maintenance and upkeep of gym/therapy equipment and maintain related documentation for these tasks.
    • Assist the director in the development and presentation of lectures, clinics, and athletic screening programs.
    • Perform administrative functions as assigned by the director.
  • Outreach:
    • Provide emergency response for athletic injuries and perform first aid, and conduct orthopedic and neurological injury evaluation and management.
    • Make referrals of orthopedic and neurological injury to appropriate providers/MD, including scheduling patients for MSK care within Orthopedic ONE.
    • Communicate with prospective patients about MSK services provided at Orthopedic ONE.
Requirements
  • Possess a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization.
  • Be certified by the National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification and hold current State Licensure.
  • Maintain and provide verification card for CPR certification, including BLS/AED training.
