Role Description

The Glatfelter Agency (TGA), a division of Glatfelter Insurance Group, is in search of a seasoned Commercial Lines Account Manager to take charge of an assigned portfolio of clients, ensuring their needs are met with excellence.

Core Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage an established portfolio of clients with professionalism and expertise.
  • Effectively communicate complex insurance concepts in a straightforward manner.
  • Act as the primary contact for commercial client inquiries and service requests.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives on account management activities as needed.
  • Coordinate renewal quotes with existing carriers and explore alternative options when necessary, ensuring alignment with client specifications.
  • Utilize carrier platforms for quoting, rating, binding, and other essential functions.
  • Prepare materials for client renewal presentations, including the agency proposal document.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation within the agency management system (Epic).
  • Review all documents issued by carriers for accuracy.
  • Issue Certificates of Insurance and prepare Auto ID Cards.
  • Process client change requests throughout the year.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and operational workflows.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a commercial lines retail insurance agency is essential.
  • Must hold a valid Pennsylvania Property/Casualty Agent license.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word.
  • CISR designation is preferred.
  • Experience with Applied Epic is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with underwriters, clients, and team members.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment under general supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities are required.
  • Adaptability to evolving technologies and proficiency in various online rating platforms are important.
