Regional Sales Executive

This role is with SPX, a prominent player in the HVAC industry, specializing in the distribution of Weil-McLain branded products. With a legacy dating back to 1881, Weil-McLain stands as a trusted name in hydronic comfort heating systems for a variety of building types, including residential, commercial, and institutional. Our manufacturing facilities are strategically located across the United States, complemented by regional sales offices and a dedicated administrative center. Your Contribution (Position Overview)
As a Regional Sales Executive, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of SPX by effectively managing and expanding your designated territory. Your responsibilities will include fostering strong customer relationships, optimizing sales operations, and implementing strategic initiatives to achieve revenue targets. The ideal candidate will be results-oriented, with a strong drive for sales growth and exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
Key Responsibilities
Your daily tasks will encompass:
- Territory Development and Sales
- Oversee a designated sales territory by identifying potential clients, contractors, and distributors, and crafting a strategic engagement plan.
- Actively seek and connect with new clients and partners to enhance market presence and boost sales.
- Formulate and execute sales strategies aimed at meeting or surpassing sales objectives, including identifying opportunities for cross-selling and upselling.
- Prepare and present estimates and proposals to clients.
- Pursue key accounts vigorously.
- Achieve or exceed quarterly and annual revenue goals.
- Coordinate and implement sales initiatives with distributor partners.
- Educate clients and prospects on product features, advantages, and competitive benefits.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product management, and customer service, to relay customer insights and market trends.
- Represent the Weil-McLain product line at industry trade shows.
- Client Engagement
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, contractors, and distributors through consistent communication, follow-ups, and face-to-face meetings.
- Deliver product and technical training to enhance client understanding and promote product offerings.
- Work closely with internal teams to resolve client issues and ensure high levels of satisfaction.
- Data Analysis and Reporting
- Maintain detailed records of sales activities and customer interactions using CRM tools.
- Prepare and present regular performance reports on sales metrics and market dynamics to management.
- Monitor and manage expenses within the territory to ensure efficient resource allocation.
- Continuous Improvement
- Analyze sales data and customer feedback to identify improvement areas and optimize sales strategies.
- Engage in product growth initiatives, including new product launches and technical presentations.
- Attend industry events to network and identify new business opportunities.
- Seek opportunities to enhance processes and reduce costs.
- Participate in projects aligned with departmental and organizational goals.
We are seeking candidates who possess:
Education & Certifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Valid driver's license and proof of insurance required.
- A minimum of 5 years of territory sales experience in the HVAC or related industry.
- Experience in channel management.
- Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of sales principles and best practices.
- Technical knowledge of product features and applications, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly.
- Experience in delivering technical training.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to secure new business opportunities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for building professional relationships.
- Proficiency in presenting data and recommendations effectively.
- Analytical mindset with experience in interpreting sales data.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
- Willingness to travel frequently.
- Frequent travel to engage with clients and attend industry events.
- Remote working environment with a home office setup.
- Ability to drive long distances and lift product displays weighing up to 50 lbs.
