Job Summary

This position is responsible for directing and supervising legal secretarial staff, providing high-level support services for the Managing Attorney, and coordinating support staff for the Children's Court offices in the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide effective supervision to all legal secretarial staff in the region in a fair and professional manner.
  • Perform administrative functions and support for the Managing Attorney and, when coverage is needed, for Children's Court Attorneys while adhering to division and department policies and procedures.
  • Perform personnel activities for the region in an efficient and professional manner.
  • Perform the budget and fiscal activities for the region in an accurate and efficient manner.

High School diploma or Equivalent and two (2) years work experience in office administration. Substitutions Apply. See Substitution Table below.

Education Experience 1 High School Diploma or Equivalent AND 2 years of experience 2 Associate's degree or higher (Bachelor's, Master's) AND 0 years of experience

Education and years of experience must be related to the purpose of the position.

If Minimum Qualification requires a specific number of "semester hours" in a field (e.g. 6 semester hours in Accounting), applicants MUST have those semester hours in order to meet the minimum qualifications. No substitutions apply for semester hours.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some sitting, standing, bending and reaching may be required. Travel may be required. Possible exposure to irate clientele. Incumbent will work under stress and frequent time constraints.
