Position Overview

As a store associate, your primary role is to deliver an outstanding shopping experience for our customers. You will also be tasked with meeting your personal sales targets and contributing to the overall sales objectives of the store while upholding Kindthread's merchandising and cleanliness standards.


Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional customer service in line with Kindthread standards across all areas of the store
  • Handle merchandise, including receiving, tagging, stocking, and displaying products according to company guidelines
  • Process transactions at the register, including cash and credit payments, issuing receipts, and packaging items for customers
  • Manage cash register operations, including cash counting, processing payments, and balancing cash drawers
  • Specific skills may be required for certain roles.

Required Skills
  • Strong customer service abilities
  • Willingness to maintain a flexible work schedule
  • Basic math skills for calculating discounts and totals
  • Proficient in basic computer operations

Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • A high school diploma or G.E.D. is required; an Associate degree is preferred, along with 6 months to 2 years of retail experience

The physical requirements of this position include the ability to remain stationary for extended periods, occasional movement within the store, and the capability to operate a computer and other equipment effectively. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.


Physical Requirements

This role primarily involves sedentary work, requiring the ability to stay in one position for a significant amount of time, with occasional movement. Associates must possess manual dexterity for operating office equipment and have the visual acuity to work with computer screens.
