The Alta California Regional Center is a non-profit agency under contract to the State of California, dedicated to providing services to individuals with developmental disabilities. With over 50 years of experience, ACRC employs approximately 700 individuals across eight offices in a ten-county area.
**Job Summary**
This role supports DDS-conserved clients by performing day-to-day conservatorship duties, including attending Individualized Program Plan meetings and advocating on behalf of clients to secure necessary services and supports.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Meeting with clients during all IPP meetings and other relevant meetings
- Advocating for clients to secure or fund appropriate services and supports
- Maximizing client autonomy and supporting decision-making whenever possible
- Completing DDS monthly reporting to reflect changes impacting client health, safety, or well-being
- Providing ongoing consultation to clients and their support circles
**Required Skills and Qualifications**
To succeed in this role, applicants must possess at least a Bachelor's degree and five years of recent experience related to individuals with developmental disabilities, including three years in rights assurance, legal compliance, or a related field. Key skills include:
- Locus and application of relevant statutes, regulations, policies, and procedures
- Familiarity with statutes and regulations related to developmental disabilities
- Analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Exceptional verbal and writing skills
- Superior organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
