Public Relations Director

Mat-Su Health Foundation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Public Relations to join our team. As a key member of our communications team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic communications plans to promote the foundation's mission, values, and programs.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute comprehensive communications strategies to engage internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage and maintain relationships with local, regional, and national media outlets.
- Write and distribute press releases, media advisories, and other communication materials.
- Supervise the Communications Associate and work with contractors as needed.
- Track and report on the effectiveness of communication activities.
- Minimum of five years professional experience in corporate communications, public relations, media relations, or journalism.
- Media relations and story pitching experience.
- Experience re-purposing content and stories across multiple platforms and mediums.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and design platforms such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Minimum five years' supervisory experience.
