Key Responsibilities:

The primary objective of this role is to oversee external warehouse contracts and manage the packaging of raw materials and components for manufacturing, ensuring timely shipment and accurate storage.

  • No supervisory responsibilities.
  • Lead projects for new product launches and cost-saving initiatives within the packaging domain.
  • Contribute to World Class Manufacturing (WCM) efforts, including Plan for Every Part (PFEP), Kanban, standardized work, and problem-solving.
  • Engage directly with suppliers regarding supply issues and collaborate with internal teams on quality and inventory matters.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing material and packaging management.
  • Support Third Party Logistics (3PL) operations, managing contracts, costs, and processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Logistics, Purchasing, Engineering, and Quality, to ensure compliance with inbound material packaging requirements.
  • Ensure the availability of raw materials and components for production through proactive problem-solving.
  • Manage multiple projects to support Material Control and Logistics (MCL), generating reports based on performance metrics.
  • Maintain professional communication with colleagues, management, customers, and vendors.
  • Adhere to all regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in supply chain and manufacturing.
  • Less than 1 year of experience in the automotive industry.
  • Project management experience is essential.
  • Preferred experience in packaging design and approval.

Required Skills:

  • Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Strong organizational skills and effective time management.
  • Excellent client service and communication skills.
  • Proficient in product development and problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement tools and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of transportation requirements and packaging processes.
  • Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Office, and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Understanding of manufacturing and supply chain concepts.
  • Knowledge of IATF 16949 Logistics Standards, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.

Travel Requirements: 5-25%
