Position Overview:
The Magnetic Resonance Imaging Specialist will be responsible for operating MRI equipment to capture detailed images of patients' anatomy for diagnostic evaluation. This role requires a commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-focused care while adhering to the guidelines set forth by the leadership team, including the COO and MRI supervisor. The specialist will execute their responsibilities in alignment with departmental protocols and strive for excellence in service during all patient interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct MRI examinations on specified areas of the body to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions, demonstrating proficiency in advanced imaging techniques.

Assess patients prior to the procedure to identify any potential risks or contraindications.
Manage inventory of medical supplies as necessary.
Mentor and educate MRI students.
Clearly communicate the procedure to patients, providing emotional reassurance to help them through the examination process.

Prepare patients for MRI scans by explaining the procedure, positioning them correctly for optimal imaging, and offering support throughout the process.

Aid in the training of newly hired MRI specialists.

Undertake additional tasks as directed by the supervisor. Skills and Competencies: Deliver high-quality, empathetic patient care to ensure comfort, safety, and satisfaction.

Adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
Ensure MRI equipment is properly maintained; perform cleaning and disinfection after each use.
Foster positive relationships with radiologists, healthcare providers, and colleagues.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION:
Completion of an A.M.A. accredited Radiology program. A.R.R.T MRI certification, along with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree, is required.

EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of two (2) years of experience in Magnetic Resonance Imaging, showcasing advanced technical expertise.

CERTIFICATION:
ARRT certification, state licensure in CT, and MRI board certification are mandatory.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The individual must be capable of lifting up to forty pounds (40 lbs).
