Job Title: Lead Control Systems Engineer

Compensation: $45.93/Hour

Location: Johnston, RI

Role Overview:

The Lead Control Systems Engineer plays a crucial role in supporting operations within the fulfillment center, concentrating on the upkeep, troubleshooting, and enhancement of material handling control systems. This includes ensuring the optimal performance of equipment such as conveyors, sortation systems, scanners, cameras, print and apply systems, and SCADA devices and software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance software for material handling control systems, including PLC/PC controllers and industrial networks such as Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, and Profibus.
  • Oversee motor control systems, servo drives, frequency drives, and electrical distribution systems.
  • Effectively escalate downtime incidents to vendors or headquarters for prompt resolution.
  • Monitor material handling equipment metrics and collaborate with facilities/operations on system performance challenges.
  • Conduct assessments of material handling systems to evaluate performance.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proficient in identifying, maintaining, troubleshooting, and modifying AB RS LOGIX 5000 PLCs and related components.
  • Hands-on experience with industrial electrical systems, including 480V 3-phase, 110 VAC, and 24VDC.
  • Ability to interpret and adjust both mechanical and electrical schematics.
  • Experience with SCADA systems is essential.
