Radiology Technologist Position in Texas

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Baylor Scott & White Health in Taylor, Texas.
About the RoleThis is a full-time position requiring 40 hours of work per week, with an 8-hour shift schedule from Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will perform radiology procedures on ambulatory patients in a physician office or clinic setting, as requested by a licensed provider. This role involves working under the general supervision of a Radiologist and requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to remain calm under pressure.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of radiation dose reference levels, radiation dose monitoring, and actions to be taken if the estimated dose exceeds set dose reference levels. They will also possess excellent patient care skills, ensuring individuals are safe to enter the department by screening them according to approved policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Perform high-quality radiology procedures according to exam protocol in a timely manner
- Instruct and communicate with patients regarding the test to be performed and assess their ability to tolerate the exam
- Prepare patients and equipment for procedures, adhering to safety requirements, infection-control, drug, and radiation policies
- Maintain medical imaging records in accordance with departmental policies and standards
- Work independently without routine oversight and effectively administer first aid when needed
To be considered for this position, candidates must hold a degree from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology, possess current certification/licensure/registration as a Radiographer (ARRT-R), and have less than one year of experience in the field. Strong organizational and time management skills, along with excellent customer service skills, are essential for success in this role.
Benefits and CompensationWe offer a competitive salary package, including an estimated $65,000 - $75,000 annual compensation, based on qualifications and experience.
