Position Overview

The Technology Solutions Specialist is responsible for enhancing sales performance in the Oklahoma City and Tulsa markets while supporting our new role as a Trimble OEM dealer in Kansas. This position also focuses on strengthening the collaboration between the Smart Construction team and the sales department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and uphold the Kirby-Smith vision and core values of One Mission, One Team, One Plan, One Goal.
  • Oversee the grade control systems utilized in equipment sold, rented, and serviced.
  • Coordinate grade control demonstrations with internal sales personnel and clients.
  • Provide product support and training during demonstrations and post-sale.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the manufacturer's smart construction products and TopCon Grading Systems.
  • Advocate for grade control systems directly with sales staff and customers through rentals, demonstrations, field visits, and office interactions.
  • Stay informed about competitors and industry trends.
  • Assess customer equipment needs and identify new business opportunities.
  • Sell equipment, parts, accessories, rentals, and services as comprehensive customer solutions while fostering long-term relationships to maximize profitability.
  • Ensure timely follow-up on sales to guarantee customer satisfaction.
  • Utilize company systems and tools to document, track, and follow up on all sales and product support activities accurately and promptly.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Maintain consistent and reliable on-site attendance.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to effectively present technical information and train new users.
  • Ability to learn heavy equipment operation for demonstration and training purposes.
  • Knowledge of GPS products and experience in troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Intermediate to advanced understanding of computer networks, systems, software, and construction-related principles.
  • Familiarity with Land/Construction Surveying and the ability to use related equipment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Physical capability to squat, twist, turn, bend, stoop, climb, and reach overhead.
  • Must be able to work in extreme temperatures and various environmental conditions, including exposure to noise, hazardous materials, and fumes.
  • Ability to perform maintenance on equipment for extended periods, involving continual mounting and dismounting throughout the workday.
  • Adherence to personal protective equipment (PPE) policies and maintenance of PPE in functional condition.
