Overview:


This position is remote and available to candidates in specific states.


The Commercial Credit Analyst is responsible for assessing, evaluating, and making decisions on a diverse array of business loan applications for the Credit Administration division of the Bank.

This role involves reviewing loan submissions, including those from unconventional businesses, in accordance with established credit guidelines and protocols. The analyst will identify and assign credit ratings based on the review process.

Additionally, this position provides assistance to field lending representatives regarding credit policies and loan structuring, leveraging expertise in credit regulations, lending processes, and underwriting methodologies.


Responsibilities:


Underwriting - The analyst will underwrite and assess various business loan requests, including atypical applications that may involve, but are not limited to, religious institutions, nonprofit entities, and startups.

The role includes structuring workout credits, which may involve downgrading credit ratings and managing troubled debt restructuring tasks. The analyst will also evaluate exceptions related to automated clearing house limits.


Business Support - This position supports field lending representatives through a dedicated support center and directly addresses inquiries and concerns about application statuses, loan structuring, credit policies, and other aspects of small business lending.

The analyst will follow up on outstanding applications to ensure timely processing of all loan requests and assist with special projects as needed.

Loan Proficiency - The analyst will maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in bank credit policies, industry trends, and underwriting practices. They will underwrite small business loans in compliance with all necessary regulations and policies. The analyst will identify loan requests related to specialized loan programs and respond accordingly.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 4 years of experience in Business and Commercial Underwriting with credit approval authority.

  • A High School Diploma or GED with at least 8 years of experience in Business and Commercial Underwriting with credit approval authority.

Additional Requirements:
Experience with Business and Commercial loans is essential.

Strong understanding of accounting and finance principles is required.

Familiarity with current banking regulations, loan documentation, and bank policies is necessary.

Experience in credit approval authority is required.
