Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Officer to join our team at Danfoss. This role is responsible for ensuring the company's import-export operations are in compliance with all relevant regulations and laws.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent Danfoss in interactions with Customs Brokers, CBP, and other regulatory agencies;
  • Maintain and update company-wide policies, procedures, and controls for import-export operations;
  • Manage the Export Management System and ensure compliance with export regulations;
  • Conduct regular audits to evaluate compliance levels and effectiveness of procedures;
  • Identify opportunities for duty refunds and duty-saving programs;
  • Educate departments on customs compliance and best practices;
  • Participate in new product development groups to identify import-export requirements early in the process;
  • Leverage international free trade agreements to benefit the organization;
  • Manage the NAFTA/USMCA compliance program to ensure compliance;
  • Continuously improve import-export and logistics processes;
  • Monitor regulatory changes and apply knowledge through written and verbal communication;
  • Maintain relationships with external customs counsel and brokers;
  • Manage the Import-Export Department and maintain costs within budget;
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree;
  • 8+ years industry experience at a customs brokerage or medium to large importer/exporter, or combination of the above, with emphasis on customs compliance;
  • 3+ years supervisory/management experience;
  • Customs broker license;
  • Eligibility to work in the US without sponsorship;
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
