About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Technician to join our team at Compass Intervention Center. As a Mental Health Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care and support to patients with mental health conditions, including crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding, as needed.
  • Participate in therapeutic groups and activities to promote patient engagement and well-being.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology or a related field (highly preferred) or high school diploma with relevant experience.
  • One year of experience working with a psychiatric client population (preferred).
  • Knowledge of psychiatric group processes, therapeutic relationships, age-specific growth and development, limit setting, and behavior management.
  • Verbal de-escalation, Handle with Care, and CPR training.
