Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Specialist to provide high-quality psychiatric services to our clients. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for evaluating and diagnosing individuals with psychiatric emergent/urgent or routine conditions in an outpatient setting. Your expertise will include pharmacological treatment, patient follow-up, and collaboration with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and diagnose individuals with psychiatric conditions, providing personalized treatment plans and follow-up care.
  • Prescribe medications and monitor patient response, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, care managers, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Supervise nurse practitioners and residents, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings, providing consultation and expertise to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Tennessee licensed psychiatrist with board eligibility or certification.
  • Valid Tennessee driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle report.
  • Acceptable criminal background investigation and personal automobile insurance.

  • Strong knowledge of therapeutic interventions, including diagnostic assessment, medication evaluation and management, and crisis intervention.
  • Able to maintain an active role in treatment planning, including patient follow-up and coordination with other healthcare professionals.
