Medical Assistant

Job Summary:
The Certified Medical Assistant will provide clinical support to a urology clinic, assisting the provider with various duties, including phone support, lab work, scheduling, patient charts, appointments, and vitals. The ideal candidate will have certification as a CCMA, RMA, or CMA and experience in a clinical setting.
Responsibilities:
- Verify prescriptions and follow up on appointments
- Process and collect urine samples
- Schedule appointments and coordinate scans and tests
- Prepare and maintain patient charts, including insurance, registration, and medical reports
- Assist with patient-related matters, relay test results, and follow up with patients
- Measure blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and weight, and alert the physician of any abnormalities
- Take medical history before the physician sees the patient
- Maintain medical and office supplies
Work Environment:
The Certified Medical Assistant will work in a clinical setting, providing support to a urology clinic. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and organizational skills.
