Medical Assistant

Responsibilities:
* Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for examinations/procedures according to the provider's preferences.
* Record vital signs of patients, including pulse, blood pressure, height, weight, etc.
* Perform phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, holter monitors, and other procedures as needed.
* Assist physicians with procedures, administer medications, and conduct patient phone nursing when appropriate.
* Perform clerical duties necessary for the provider to see patients, such as contacting patients regarding test results and other related reasons.
* Pull and prepare patient records for physicians to treat patients, as needed.
* Schedule patient appointments with efficient use of clinical time slots.
* Maintain stocked, neat, and clean exam rooms and common work areas daily.
* Adhere to established company policies and procedures, and follow state and federal regulations, such as OSHA and HIPAA guidelines.
* Actively participate in site-level Quality Improvement Activities.
Requirements:
* High School Diploma or equivalent required.
* Medical Assistant Certification required.
* Clinical experience required.
