The Judge Group, LLC is seeking a dedicated Travel Radiation Therapist to provide exceptional patient care in the field of therapeutic radiation. This role involves delivering radiation treatments as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist while ensuring the highest standards of safety and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities- Administer Therapeutic Radiation: Deliver radiation therapy in strict accordance with the prescribed treatment plans.
- Prescription Verification: Review and confirm the accuracy of dosage to prevent any potential errors.
- Preparation of Treatment Area: Set up the treatment room and necessary equipment, including immobilization devices and beam shaping tools.
- Patient Interaction: Clearly explain treatment procedures and assist in preparing patients for their sessions.
- Monitoring Patient Condition: Observe and report any changes in the patient's health status to the Radiation Oncologist or nursing staff.
- Documentation: Accurately record all treatments administered in patient charts and maintain the record/verification system.
- Quality Control: Conduct chart checks and address any discrepancies identified.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all equipment is maintained in a safe and operational condition.
- Workplace Organization: Keep the work area clean and orderly, ensuring supplies are stocked and replenished as necessary.
- Additional Duties: Perform other related responsibilities as required.
- Proficient in Varian TrueBeam technology and Mosaiq EMR.
- Minimum of one year of experience in clinical therapeutic radiation therapy.
