Job Summary:

The Medical Dosimetrist is a key member of the Radiation Oncology team, responsible for administering radiation therapy to patients and performing technical tasks associated with tumor localization. This role requires a graduate degree from an AMA-approved school in radiation therapy and at least one year of experience in clinical therapeutic radiation therapy. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepares treatment rooms and equipment for patients, including immobilization devices, field parameters, and beam shaping.
* Observes and reports changes in patient condition to the Radiation Oncologist or radiation therapy nurse.
* Maintains equipment in safe and good working condition, reporting defects or deficiencies for adjustment and repair to the chief technologist and/or medical physicist.
* Stocks and replenishes supplies as needed.
