About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Kalmbach Feeds. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production facility equipment. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of autonomy and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production facility equipment.
  • Work effectively with all departments, management, and employees to achieve business goals and objectives.
  • Assess, diagnose, and evaluate feed manufacturing problems of a mechanical, electrical, and/or structural nature.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, including lubrication, inspection, and other tasks as needed.
  • Maintain accurate daily records of all work performed in our computerized maintenance management system.
Requirements:
  • Safety/OSHA knowledge and a valid driver's license with no suspensions.
  • Ability to meet tight schedules and handle multiple assignments.
  • Electrical and mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment, with PLC troubleshooting preferred.
  • Ability to read electrical prints and install, diagnose, repair, wire, and maintain a variety of production and building equipment.
  • Ability to work on raised platforms and in a dusty environment.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds minimum and have basic welding experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, with 5 years preferred.
