Job Title: Supervising Registered Nurse

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervising Registered Nurse to join our team at the Department of State Hospitals. As a Supervising Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to a team of registered nurses, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and promoting a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to a team of registered nurses, promoting a culture of excellence and professionalism.
  • Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure the quality and safety of patient care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Provide education and training to nursing staff on best practices and new technologies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care.

Requirements:

  • Current California RN license.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a registered nurse, with at least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
