Job Title: Supervising Clinic Nurse I

Job Summary:

The County of Los Angeles is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervising Clinic Nurse I to join our team. As a Supervising Clinic Nurse I, you will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to a team of nursing personnel in a clinic or emergency care unit. You will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating nursing activities to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and direct nursing activities in a unit, coordinating with medical and other health services staff to provide prompt and quality patient care.
  • Interpret nursing philosophy, goals, policies, and procedures to employees, patients, or others.
  • Prepare work schedules and daily assignments for nursing staff members, matching skills to duties to be performed.
  • Review and evaluate employee performance, writing anecdotal notes and counseling employees as needed.
  • Establish priorities for patient care, prepare and revise patient care schedules, and observe for disruptions in the even flow of patients through the unit.
  • Evaluate procedures periodically and revise them as necessary.
  • Investigate and prepare reports on accidents and other incidents involving patients, employees, and visitors.

Requirements:

  • A license to practice as a Registered Nurse issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing.
  • Two years of experience as a registered nurse leading staff in the provision of nursing care or services.
  • Current certification in accordance with the American Heart Association's Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers (CPR & AED) Program.
