The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a skilled Food Service Assistant to join our team at Grand Island Village. As a Food Service Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of food service to our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and record the proper temperature of food to maintain a safe and healthy environment for our residents.
  • Set up and maintain a clean and sanitized serving area, ensuring a pleasant dining experience for our residents.
  • Prepare and serve food items, restocking food areas as needed.
  • Clean and sanitize equipment, adhering to Hazardous Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines.
  • Receive payment for food and beverages using a computerized register.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and effectively communicate with patrons and co-workers.
  • Maintain quality control standards and ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation processes.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 16 years of age.
  • Previous customer service experience, retail counting, and reconciliation of money.
  • Knowledge of food service and ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions.
  • Ability to perform basic math and work independently when necessary.
