Front Desk Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Front Desk Supervisor to join our team at the Heathman Lodge in Vancouver, WA. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring a smooth and efficient guest experience, and leading a team of front desk agents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the front desk operations, ensuring prompt and courteous service to all guests
  • Assist in administering policies and procedures for communication between front desk, guests, and other hotel staff
  • Maintain high standards of customer service, with a focus on delivering exceptional experiences
  • Respond to guest inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Understand hotel operations, including room types, rates, packages, and meeting spaces
  • Assist with front desk organization, programs, and systems to ensure efficient operations
  • Complete employee documentation and training for front desk staff
  • Plan, direct, and monitor the activities of front desk agents
  • Train front desk staff on sales techniques, customer service, and hotel offerings
  • Help drive transient sales and control budget/overtime through effective scheduling
  • Shuttle guests in company vans when required
  • Hold monthly meetings with the front desk team
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of hotel front desk experience preferred
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Knowledge of front office operations and ability to plan, organize, and direct staff
  • Detail-oriented with strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read, write, and effectively interact with guests and employees
  • Maintain a professional appearance and have prior cash handling experience
  • Skilled at multitasking and working well under pressure
  • Can follow both verbal and written instructions
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule
