Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CT Scanner Technician to join our team at Atrium Health. As a vital member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for operating CT scanners and associated equipment with precision and efficiency.

About the Role

This is a $65,000 - $80,000 per year position that requires moderate to heavy physical efforts in lifting and moving patients, equipment, and supplies. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate CT scanners and associated equipment with a high level of proficiency
  • Prepare patients for procedures with thorough explanations and documentation
  • Evaluate technical quality of images and consult with radiologists as needed
  • Assist in medical emergencies and perform invasive procedures in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Maintain knowledge and skills required to work safely in an environment with bloodborne pathogens and infectious disease
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have a graduate degree from an accredited two-year AMA program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology. Additionally, you will need ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine and advanced registry from the ARRT in CT scanning within one year of hire. Current CPR certification is also required.
